Hosted by New Jersey Bankers Association the NJCAHT Bank Awareness Committee Roundtable will serve as a platform for NJ banks, law enforcement, prosecutor(s), survivor(s), and others to discuss how NJ banks can assist local and federal law enforcement in developing financial crime cases against traffickers and support survivors. The goal is to educate participants on human trafficking financial transaction red flags and the steps banks can take to support survivors.

We are excited to have Megan Lundstrom, co-founder of The Avery Center and is a Senior Advisor to the Resilience Fund at Polaris as our guest speaker at the Roundtable. Ms. Lundstrom holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master’s in Sociology from the University of Northern Colorado. Initially driven from a personal interest in the intersection of financial crimes and human trafficking as a survivor of both herself, Megan has provided significant contributions to the anti-trafficking field’s body of knowledge on this topic. Megan developed and published the only financial wellness curriculum for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking, the Survivor’s Guide to Money. With Polaris she co-authored publication: How Survivor-Led Collaborations Can Lead Anti-Money Laundering Efforts. As a Consultant through the Office for Trafficking in Persons contributed to the Department of Treasury’s Report to Congress on An Analysis of Anti-Money Laundering Efforts Related to Human Trafficking.
